The countdown to the summer holidays is on… and if you’re already wondering how to keep the children entertained for six weeks, we’ve got you covered. 

From 20 July to 1 September, NL Active is bringing a packed programme of affordable activities designed to help children stay active, try something new, build confidence and make the most of every day of the school holidays. 
Whether your child loves the water, enjoys a sporting challenge or simply wants to burn off some holiday energy, there’s plenty to choose from across our leisure centres. Better still, every activity offers the chance to swap screen time for active time in a safe, welcoming, and inclusive environment. 

Here’s some of what’s waiting in our centres this summer….

FREE Summer Daze swimming

Looking for something fun that won’t cost a penny? 

Our free Summer Daze swimming sessions are back with dedicated sessions for everyone; children, families and SEND. Making it even easier to stay active over the holidays. 

Perfect for splashing, playing, swimming, and enjoying family time in the pool.

Crash course swimming lessons

Summer is the perfect time to build confidence in the water. 

Whether your child is just starting out, looking to improve their technique, or wanting to progress to the next stage, our SwimLincs programme includes one-to-one and small group crash courses to help children develop essential life skills while having fun.

Mermaids, Sea Scooter & Snorkelling
Looking for something a little different? Take a dip under the surface! 

Children can slip of a colourful tail and become a magical mermaid or merman, glide effortlessly through the pool on a Sea Scooter or discover the underwater world with our snorkelling sessions. 

They’re a fantastic experience for confident swimmers wanting to try something new.

Giant pool inflatable & FunSplash
Race, climb, slide, and splash your way through one of our most popular holiday activities. 

Perfect for children with lot’s of energy, these sessions are guaranteed to bring plenty of smile and laughter.

Climbing & bouldering

Challenge young adventurers to reach new heights. 

Our climbing and bouldering sessions help children build confidence, improve problem solving skills and develop resilience, all while having fun and making new friend. Sessions cost £5 each or £30 for the week and can be booked by contacting The Pods on 01724 291900. Payment will be taken at the time of booking.

Half price racket sports

Badminton, pickleball, table tennis, squash and more…. Whichever they choose, it’s a fun and affordable way to stay active with family and friends throughout the holidays.
Oh, and you can also shoot some hoops this summer with half price basketball sessions at NL Active Epworth.  

Half price 3G pitch hire

Round up some friends and enjoy a kickabout for half the usual price. 

Perfect for practicing skills or playing a friendly match with mates, it’s a great way to stay active outdoors this summer.

The school holidays don’t have to revolve around screens. 

Every NL Active session is designed to encourage children to get moving, build confidence, make new friends, and create lasting memories through active play and new experiences.

Activities run from 20 July to 1 September 2026 across NL Active leisure centres.
