The device, which will be installed in a key location within the village, is designed to encourage drivers to slow down and be more mindful of their speed – especially in areas where there are families, children, and older residents.
Cllr Richard Hannigan, cabinet member for independent families – adults and health, said: “This is a brilliant safety boost for the village, and comes following concerns raised by residents.
“The speed indicator device doesn’t just flash numbers, it sends a clear message that North Killingholme is a community that cares and taking action to make local roads safer.
“The project is a great example of how small investments can make a big difference, bringing peace of mind, safer streets, and a stronger sense of community.
“The next time you’re driving through North Killingholme, ease off the accelerator – the village is watching, and it’s all about keeping everyone safe.”
